A preset is a microprogram designed to activate specific functions as described, without requiring active user involvement.

Please note that a preset may not be applicable to a vehicle due to an incompatible configuration or equipment. In some cases, the preset may not produce the desired result, especially if the vehicle’s configuration is unsuitable or has been modified.

The preset does not include access to external services, such as SFD unlocking or Stock Service requests.

If one of the preset options is “Restore to stock,” this means the preset will attempt to use data from a previously created backup. If there are multiple backups, you will be prompted to select the one from which the data should be restored.

If restoring to stock requires writing parameter data, but the necessary data is missing from the backup (not all parameters can be read and saved), then automatic restoration to stock is not possible. In that case, you will need to use the Stock Service to obtain factory parameters, unless you already have them.

CRD is an internal currency used in VCTool for purchasing paid features, whether subscriptions, presets, or other virtual products.

The cost of access to a preset depends on whether you have an active subscription or a coupon.

Basic price – is the price for users who do not have any active subscription or coupon.

Lite, Pro – the cost of the preset for users with Lite or Pro subscriptions.

Ultimate – the cost of the preset for users with an Ultimate subscription. This price is always 0, as absolutely all presets are included in this subscription.

Payment for the preset is charged only once for each VIN, i.e., no charge is taken for repeated use (activation/deactivation/modification)!

A coupon allows you to access all paid presets for one vehicle for 1 month from the date of payment. The cost of the coupon is 16 CRD.
IMPORTANT: The coupon does not include access to program modules, stock service, and SFD unlocking! The coupon is NON-REFUNDABLE if access to any paid preset has been obtained, regardless of the activation result!

Currently, VCTool offers presets for vehicles based on the MQB, MQBevo, MLBevo, and MEB platforms.
Presets for vehicles on the PQ, PL, and MLB platforms are not available at this time but may be added in the future.
Please note that presets cannot be used on control units with the SFD2 system.
Presets for Porsche vehicles are generally published based on platform compatibility, though some may be unavailable due to specific Porsche platform features.
Some Porsche presets may require access to the Porsche Security Lock module (this is not included in the presets).
For Porsche vehicles with the SFD2 system, the same rule applies as for other platforms: presets cannot be used on such vehicles.
